Guess i can't tell you more then...

1: Have a safe password...
2: Mail the administrator of the server or whatever, and tell them the story, I'm sure they'll understand

To be honest i think the best thing you can do is buy a new account (guessing it's about cs), it only costs 15€. You could allways contact steam, since they gave you the ban but chances are near to 0 you'll get unbanned because they've probobly heard the "i've been hacked" story thousands of times.
Sad it happens, but at least learn from it, think about what went wrong, weak password, saved it in a file on your comp, gave it to a friend??? and just be sure it doesn't happen again.

Take it up with STEAM. They've got a protocol about it:

You'll need a CD Key from one of the games you purchased.

As for your password I would reccomend your password having (at least) 2 lower case letters, 2 upper case letters, 2 numbers and 2 special characters ($,%,#,^, etc.).
