Nero Alternative

Post by Shimo »

Ok this is really bugging me... The only thing keeping my windows partition alive is nero vision... I really want to do the full shift over but I just can't find a program thats as nice as nero vision. I've even tried running it under wine to no avail. Anyone know of anything as good or almost as good as nervision for converting files and makeing menus all in one??? Even if it just gives me an iso... Right now windows is taking up 6 gigs I would like back...

I've tried both of them but their not really what Im looking for. Nero Linux is mainly just an iso burner and a few other thing but it doesn't support file conversion or menu creation. And Brasero is more of a data disk creator.

well, most of the stuff is covered by xcdroast, it's part of most distros so it should be installed already. the only thing that's not possible (yet) is transcoding, here's a pretty extensive howto:

the only thing that keeps my windows alive is the mad usenet downloading rampage. Linux has alternatives but they dont look very appealing. At least the ones that i found.
