My friend CloudKooKoo and I want to start a radio show to play on a local freuqency. We want the wavelength to be at least..maybe 5 miles. Well, we'll take whatever we can get.

I know we'll need some supplies and stuff..but I don't know what we'd need specifically.

Could anyone point us in the right direction(links, advice, etc.??)

Thanx people.

Um,well, the best would be a CB-radio, should cover the range of 5 miles (depends on the antenna). But the problem here: Not many people could listen to your show.
If you really want the people to listen to your show on a normal radio it´ll be pretty expensive, not really for the equipment (some used stuff should be pretty easy to find on ebay), but for renting the frequency. Well, you could start a pirate radio, but don´t get caught, you never now if the frequency you´re using is not interfering with the frequency of the ambulance or something like that, and then they´ll scan for your location... :?
I´ll check for some links and post them here...
