I used to check pdfchm on a daly basis, is a very good site to get ebooks, you can get alot from there.

Before it was complety free, but not anymore although the limitations are aceptable

There's one access for free users and one for pay users, in both cases you need to have an account (you can create it for free) but it's worthy, free users has the limitation that you can only download 2 ebooks per day, you can bypass that using any proxy that doesn't turn off javascript though pay users doesn't have limitations of any kind and is an aceptable fee for the ebooks you can find there.

Don't be so easy to dismiss older text files, you'll find a lot of the new hacks are just variations of the older hacks. I also like the history that can be found in the writing or presentation, you can see how the hacker mentality evolved since.
