A free Anti-Virus

Can anyone tell me where I can find a free anti-virus service? I'd rather get it for free than pay for a subscription. Something where getting the updates is free as well. I've found a lot of free anti-viruses, but in order to get virus definition updates, you have to subscribe (and pay a fee).

giveawayoftheday.com gave away free licensed a-sqaured anti malware a while ago,totaly legal,check there every day

Comodo.com, firewall and AVP, separate progs, so they both don't need to run together. Don't get a combo AVP/firewall, too much resource, and wasted time.
