Anyone play world of warcraft?

I just bought the battle pack today and put in my live ubuntu cd to use gparted to add 40gigs to install a dual boot ubuntu / win system .. but since ubuntu was the original system installed i do not get the grub menu and itgoes directly to windows.. ouch.. last time i found it very easy to install windows first then ubuntu for a dual boot system, the only reason i really need windows is for this game, and music production and photoshop.. Wine w/ ubuntu is giving me problems installing from DVD disc .. anyways here i am rambling if you have any ideas on how to fix that please let me know , back to the original question though..

who plays WoW and what do you think the best character roll is? I did the 10 day free trail and have a lvl 12 undead warlock, also what server are you on? I am thinking of rolling a new character probuly a tauren hunter

Both WoW and Photoshop works good with Wine, so no need to torture the poor box with something as silly as Windows.

I played for about 3 years (with pauses between), then I quit, because of many reasons:

1: I study at uni, so no time
2: I'm poor, so can't both pay monthly fee and eat every day
3: it got kinda boring after all this time

But, I still have my level 62 mage left on Frostmane ^^. Never reached 70 because I got banned at first, then started again, and sold the account. And then started again after a few months, power leveled to 62 in a week or two, then I got bored and stopped. But, I might start again, someday =)

Easy. Step by step instructions -

1. Create a char on RP
2. Take everything your char has off.
3. Go afk for sometime.
4. Come back, try relogging.
5. Banned
6. ???
7. Profit

WoW is awesome, it's just that I don't have enough time for it. I still got like a month and a half playtime from last card.

I was young(er) and naive ..... it was at the same time as I started reading about packet forging and spoofing, so I tried to spoof some data that was sent to the server, as well as using a bot to level the char for me, the goal was to use a rootkit to hide the process from the game guard.

Conclusion: FAIL

WoW is a great game imo. A bunch of friends and i play on stormrage server and have a guild. We also have a ventrillo server. We are all at 70 but always have a great time playing together. Simply one of the most enjoyable games to play with your friends.
i havnt played in a while but as soon as my football season ends i plan on getting back to the hardcore geek life and fit some WoW in.

I used to have a 55+ Tauren hunter but got banned for buying gold from some chinese company.. WoW mine or some place like that which spams everybody

The game is only 15$ a month, first month is free, i may get tired of the game after the first month and cancel, but i spoe to their customer service and they say your character stays their forever, as long as you do stuff legit.. so i can be bored one week with nothing better to do then build a lvl 40 warlock, cancel membership then 1 year later if i still remember my UN and PW get my character back.

meaning like not buying 500 gold from some chinese website for like 5$ or something.. it worked a couple times but... ive learned my lesson lol this char will be without cheating

btw; i am on realm emerald dream,i did the free 10 day trail seen the game for 40$ bought it , it came with another 30 day free card, game is fun..

Damn, I kinda feel like playing it now : S but....must...resist....have..to..pay....bills!

And don't tell me to join your private server (I'm sure someone here has one, someone always does) because it's either paying the damn fee or setting up your own server, and since compiling the Ascent WoW server was such a fucking pain, I will not do it (at least not this weekend)

Well i have been playing wow pre TBC. I have 60lvl mage and 60lvl warlock on Al'akir realm. When tbc expansion came out i then moved to private blizzlike server.

And cats why compile Ascent when we have MaNGOS?

Ascent = bugs bugs and some more bugs...
