Here is a trick how to make an invisible folder on your desktop.
First of all you create a new folder, I recommend taking a note where you place the icon. Once the folder is created click inside the title box to edit it and press alt 0160 consecutively and then release alt.
This has now created a blank ASCII character. Next we want to make the folder icon invisible, so go to right click on the folder and click properties. This will bring you to the next part where you click on the customize tab. Click on Change Icon. Select the blank icon available in shell32.dll. Click apply and watch the folder go invisible in front of your eyes.
Enjoy
