mandrake fucked up

i installed linux mandrake today, when i start it,,,, it loads....then it just stoped, and starts this REALLY loud beeping noice that sounds lika a firealarm.....then it just stops loading. what should i do?

Prolly wrong allocated RAM or a serious hardware conflict or damage.
Computers are build to make a POST (Power On Self Test) and hence the different sorts of beeps.

no i dont think its that. It starts when it says "mixerconfigurations" something.....

Now i start to grasp why people don't respond to "MY COMPUTAR ACTS LIKE A FIRE-DEPARTMENT" on news:24hoursupport.helpdesk anymore for Windows noobs..
