My hatred of Windows grows...

...but I'm not quite yet ready to give up and go to Linux. Let me explain what happened.

I, in my infinite "wisdom," decided that I needed a reformat and re-install, since trying to install World of Warcraft was constantly giving me BSODs and just plain solid freeze ups (i.e. no mouse or keyboard response) while installing. After several hours of trying to re-install Windows, since it kept giving me stupid errors that a file wouldn't copy, I finally got to the GUI and installed updates and all drivers <u>except</u> the Audigy 2 ZS driver. This one has always given me trouble. Well, I got it installed and on the reboot I got this error:

*** STOP: 0x0000000A ( 0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x80517344) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Following a forum member's advice on another site I put in the Windows installation disc and tried a repair (not by the command console). After it got through copying the files I got this error:

*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xBF7F0020, 0x00000001, 0x8086E1C6, 0x00000002) PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Needless to say, I'm very aggrivated with the son of a bitch. I'm too tired to mess with it. If anyone knows what the hell the second STOP code means, I would really like to know.

I wish I hadn't reformatted. All the other games except for WoW have installed without a hitch.
