XP system cannot see Vista computers

Post by Grombo »

I'm running XP and the internet works fine through the network, other pc's can recognise that my pc is connected to the network, though all of them are running vista.

when i try to view the workgroup computers a pop-up tells me that it cannot access the area and i might not have the appropriate permissions

HOW CAN I FIX THiS?!

i think this is ur problem

when you connect to a network with vista it will ask if you want to set it as a public, home or work location, then settings vary from there, when i set public it said something about not being able todo stuff with other pc's etc,try that and set to whatever suits you ;)
