a long year ago, I got an xbox360 for christmas, now this Christmas Eve, the bloody thing got the RROD (red ring of death), because I had the three lights, all I had to do is fix the heat syncing. so I did. I did what is on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsz0lNJ6 ... re=related
Instead of using silicon based thermal paste I used light bulb grease, don't know how long it will hold, but it works for now, also depends on your error number. I also did this, like here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B34C9vVAvxs works fine for about 4 hours, then bad things happen again. If nothing like that works out for you, there's the x-clamp fix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5axYHeG4Xeo now I haven't tried it but, it seems to work, I would like feedback if any one tries this, on what happens. That's basically all the tricks I know.
