kde wont load [kubuntu]

hm, I am pretty out of ideas now, maybe a new OS install is the best if you REALLY want to use KDE....else you might switch to Gnome (which is the better desktop imo anyway)....

I was thinking that too but i got some data that i wanna save first like bookmarks etc. and i cant do it. Maybe I'l try to install ubuntu-desktop. I'll let you know what will happen and no your not out of ideas coz I dont have any ideas on how to fix it. I'll try Gnome

before i installed gnome i had to try

apt-get install xorg

Anything is worth a try

Thanks thugs, i already got in! Wew! Gnome works! Now i gotta fix kde! After 2 months. Wew.

I think the permission settings got changed coz every time i run terminal it says "There was an error creating the child process for this terminal". But that is another question i should search, The Battle on fixing ubunu/kubuntu is not yet done!

I am sure the error you are getting is because you aren't logged in as root user!!
