<tongue-in-cheek>
This year marks the 100th anniversary of (drum roll, please)....
That's right!
THE PERM!
Invented by Karl Nessler (German) and first publicly demonstrated/tested in Paris and the UK in 1906.
The great Herr Nessler realized his invention while watching a herd of goats and observing the behavior of plants as they unfurled to greet the sun, then curled back on themselves as the life-giving rays of our celestial body removed themselves from our most unworthy presence.
So, in celebration of such a monumental event which has changed the lives of pubescent girls and metrosexuals everywhere, everyone:
GET YOUR HAIR PERMED today!
