tar.gz help extracting file

How can i open a file type that is tar.gz
i tried alot, but non worked with me :(
can any one help me :roll:

A tar file is for a linux system like rar is for windows.....

Hope this explains where you are going wrong and as this is in the windows section i dont see any point in explaining. If you need it for a linux box then il move this topic or another staff member will and you will soon have your reply :wink:

No worries....its a simple mistake to make if you are not familiar with the extension.

download 7zip its for windows and linux. Its free too and is in the download section i think. It will give you a better idea :wink:

i downloaded 7zip from the download section and it works gr8 :lol:
