1 tab firefox

I recently reinstalled firefox 3 but I lost the capability to close one tab to leave it untitled (see pic). So if I have 2 tabs and I close one it doesn't become tabbed but one window (eg normal browsing with IE 6).

Anybody know how I can get this back? Thanks.

I'm just wondering, why do you need to see the tabs if you only have one? If you open another tab it'll automatically show...

Anyway, edit -> properties -> tabs and there you check "always show the tab bar"

Ah, thanks! In case you were wondering it's because if i'd like a clean session next time I start the browser instead of it loading the previous page. Though, sometimes I want it to restore the previous session. That's why I needed it.
