hey! first post! ok. I know the admin and IT accounts on my school computers (I love john the ripper... :P wow, they sure used messed up passwords) and I just noticed that my school is running novel for the network and ive been screwing around with it and found some cool things. Ok, every person in my school as a network account and drive (or something like that) and what I want to do is be able to modify and create new novel accounts and give them a new "network drive". Is there a way to do this? I dont know the program that well... did this ramble make any sence? thanks!

just like computing, that one 'dropped' L makes all the difference.
You are talking about Novell, maybe 5.0 even, otherwise its 4.x

novell ties in all those windows computers in the school.
Nice thing about novell security, if the sysadmin did the install right, there is a computer that is desginated as the sysadmin console, it has the admin rights also assigned to a specific IP/MAC.

Trying to make admin changes on any other box will not work. You need to find the sysadmin computer to log in. Probably locked in a closet behind the school principal's desk lol. You want to get to the NDS tree....

Read up on Novell, find the version you are using. You might have the novell icon right there in the task bar, by the clock, right click on it and see if you can see the network. You might be able to send messages to anyone on the network, i mean anyone lol! Just don't be logged/sitting at the sending computer after..
