vuln for Apache?

Post by Kirk »

I am stuck on a problem. I used sam spade and got this:

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Server: Apache/2.0.52 (Red Hat)
Content-Language: en-US
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
Date: Sat, 23 May 2009 04:04:08 GMT
Transfer-Encoding: chunked
Connection: close
Connection: Transfer-Encoding
Cache-Control: private

I dont know any vulnerabilities for Apache. And lets face it, even if I did, i still wouldnt know what to do. Any advice for me?

I am doing this for practice. I have no intention on doing anything bad. I'm beyond that in life, now what I seek is knowledge.

Well the "easiest" way to hack into a website is to check for exploits. If its a cms like wordpress, joomla, phpnuke, vbulletin go to milw0rm.com or securityfocus.com and check for security holes.

If not, then download nessus and try to find the site's vulnerabilities : SQL injection, XSS, LFI/RFI and so on.

Or, a simple port scanning can lead u to open ports like port 21 = FTP hacking etc.If u want a decent port scanner u can use nmap.

Gd Luck

We do not usually support the hacking of sites, But if you would rephrase that question a bit, then maybe ....
