Hey guys, i was thinking of writing a small series of PHP tutorials that teaches a person some of the functions of php and its syntax. However, i'd like your guys' input on this first before i start. Basically the tutorials will start at beginner and end at advanced. Anyways, i'll wait a couple days for you guys to vote, then read the results. Basically, i want to know if you think this is a good idea or a waste of time.

Go for it.
Writing tutorials is never a waste of time, doesn't matter if two persons or thousands will read it.
Writing *about* a puter language is a great experience and permits you to review all what you know, all what you always tend to forget when you code yourself and to finish this line :
a rule of thumb : if persons understand your tutorial , well, that means that you know your stuff and knowledge is never useless.

(i recently wrote a basical tutorial of JavaScript for people who just got out f HTML and I was astonished how much i had forgotten and how complicated it is sometimes to give very simple examples)

Good luck, i will surely read it !

hehe I was going to write a PHP tutorial myself for suck-o. But PHP doesn't really interest me to much anymore...

... So maybe I will write a python one ;)

But I will definitely read your tutorial and I think its a great idea

Cheers

Well the results are 6 - 0, and i've been told that i should be a journalist by my teachers at school (and the students too, lol), so i guess that with my (oh so great) writing skills + my PHP knowlege, it won't be too hard.

I guess i'll go get started on them tutorials, :P
