It was agreed a short while ago that no political or religious related discussion would take place in the debate and rant board. This question would be better suited for a christian community, however since the question does not directly influence any conflict, i will let the topic continue - for now.

Please do keep in mind that political and religious discussion is not allowed from now on. Thank you.

Several variations of translation imply they are saying "Esau was going to be looted, stolen from, ranstacked, and searched in that manner. This was because of his transgression against the rules.
Oba 1:10
"Because of the violence against your brother Jacob,
you will be covered with shame;
you will be destroyed forever.
Apparently he stood by while Jacob got robbed, so he would recieve the same punishment.
Oba 1:11
On the day you stood aloof
while strangers carried off his wealth
and foreigners entered his gates
and cast lots for Jerusalem,
you were like one of them.
Oba 1:15
“The day of the Lord is near
for all nations.
As you have done, it will be done to you;
your deeds will return upon your own head.
--
The Lord was describing how there will be no mercy
Oba 1:5
“If thieves came to you,
if robbers in the night—
Oh, what a disaster awaits you—
would they not steal only as much as they wanted?
If grape pickers came to you,
would they not leave a few grapes?

Oba 1:6
But how Esau will be ransacked,
his hidden treasures pillaged!

Maybe i misinterpreted the new rule then.

Regardless, religious topics are pretty sensitive, but as long as this one doesn't break out into conflict, i have no problem with it.

yep, it's ok to write about politics and religion as long as you talk about your own issues (YOUR country, YOUR religion), pointing with the finger at other countries or religions is NOT allowed.
there is also the new "protest!" rule, when 3 users post "protest!" because they feel offended by a thread it'll be closed.
