I have to say, shoutbox is damn interactive....but the downside of it at suck-o's side is the subject of the site XD.bad_brain wrote:yeah, I am also not too hot for a shoutbox, when you look at other sites you can see it is abused too often...
its indeed an invite for hackers to abuse it and do some injections
if this was a normal site with no relations to hacking it would have been a more viable option me thinks.

**small feature request**
People tend to get the wrong impression if they see the word "hacking" in the window title in your web browser. I suggest an alternative "safe" title. It would be useful when visiting suck-o at school and teachers look at our screens (to make sure we're not playing games lol).

What !!?? ......
This is a place to learn about hacking and it should be written in the title, also you can scare the teachers with it
No seriously,it's not a good idea to remove the "key-word" from the title...And people who get a "wrong impression" when they see the word hacking aren't supposed to be here anyway....

I think you guys have misunderstood Lundis. He's talking about the window title as in <title>suck-o.com hacking - ...</title>. And I think it could be changed into something like <title>suck-o.com - Mind over Matter</title>. This doesn't mean banning the word hacking from the site, but only a change in the title.
Besides, don't you think that people would rather jump to conclusions and call Lundis a cyber-criminal than studying the word "hacking" and understand it's true meaning?

lundis I think you should read about these topics:
- Hacker's Manifesto
- Hacker's Glider
- How To Become A Hacker
-edit-
btw, I don't mean to put down ur idea lundis
I just thought rather changing ur self for people, instead let people know the truth about you...
any way, if you are really bothered from the term, then yeah, i think change will be for the best of this community
any way, hope things will be comfortable for every one

Yes I know he didn't mean to ban the word "hacking"... but yea you're right if the title is "Suck-o :: Mind Over Matter" it would be better, not because of the people's prejudgment but because it simply look better like thisph0bYx wrote:I think you guys have misunderstood Lundis. I didn't say change, I said having a safe option you could turn on when at school etc.
lol seems like everyone except for ph0 completely misunderstood me. I and any other suck-o member are not having problems with it, but if the computer "admin" at school saw it I would get in trouble, he doesn't know much about computers and computer culture other than ms word
I like ph0's idea

here is one idea:
Just remove the welcome - use the space for news, or another module.
People that will visit will gloss over the welcome anyways to get to the content.
If you remove the welcome mat maybe less newbies will find us?
I liked the welcome block before, but I guess for suck-o v2.0 maybe we should ditch it.
