hm, check in the profile folder if the data is still there, with a little luck it can be imported again:
Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Import HTML... -> pick the .html file in the profile folder

hehe, good you have them back....
I usually backup the whole profile folder from time to time, also the one from Thunderbird (if you use it)....had 2 nasty profile crashes already where all profile files were still there but they simply were not accepted anymore and Thunderbird acted like it is started for the first time.

I have profile crashes from time to time, so often in the past that I don't even really get mad any more. Last one was a few years ago though. I guess I've just gotten complacent and don't back up as often as i should, something that I will remedy with a scheduler me thinks. =)

This was also a customers pc, you couldn't buy me vista to get me to use it.
I was going to throw the laptop at them when they picked it up and tell them never to come back again

intellectual property sucks for some reasons.

I wonder if Microsoft would adopt a simmilar system as Apple, to just code for specific hardware.

If they then accellerate the coding for upgraded hardware then the OS should become alot more stable right?
