N-trig digitizer (touch screen)

I just bought a brand new hp touchsmart tx2 laptop and installed ubuntu 9.10. It seems my new laptop hates linux because nothing seemed to work right out of the box... anyway I have most of everything working now but I am still having trouble installing the n-trig digitizer to get the touch screen to work. I have found a couple tutorials but I nothing has worked. any help is much appreciated.

dude touchscreen? cmon man those are so homoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hahaha but its probably just not compatible

I have never used ubuntu with touch screen hardware, but this might help
