There is an UNEQUAL amount of good and bad in most things, the trick is to work out the ratio and act accordingly. "The Jester"
but how accurate is this site? it tells me im at 4.7mb/s. however other sites tell me im at 37 mb/s. and still other sites tell me another number. which pisses me off cause im paying for 25mb/s download speeds. stupid COX. they have been out here 4 times and nothing has changed. anyone know of a better isp for america?

I dont know how accurate it is exactly. BBBUUUUTTTT thinking of it this way: everybody is testing their connection this way so we all have the same advantages or disadvantages type deal. Its not like this is the literal connection speed it just allows you to compare to others on the same site type deal.

So much can affect your speed kirk. The server testing the speed, network traffic (at peek times it will slow down) if wireless the weather etc.Kirk wrote:but how accurate is this site? it tells me im at 4.7mb/s. however other sites tell me im at 37 mb/s. and still other sites tell me another number. which pisses me off cause im paying for 25mb/s download speeds. stupid COX. they have been out here 4 times and nothing has changed. anyone know of a better isp for america?
You can get a good feel of your internet speed by trying several sites and even "tracert" them to see how many hops you have to make - take an average.
here is my one test
