it's really funny, I live in this area pretty all my life, but I have discovered this just a few days ago when I was biking. of course it's just some kind of relay station, but at the giant antenna tower doesn't really fit in there imo.
and of course you can't simply drive there by car, I had to drive cross-country most of the time to evade the barriers on the only official street there.
maybe I'll make a little video next time, because the sound there is awesome...a real loud humming of electricity and giant fans...
some pics from my local area51...^^
Germany is one of the best countries in the world on electricity use. They have a fantastic program of buying back electricity from it citizens. I watched a special on one of the science channels a while back about it. They were the first to impliment this idea. American has yet to really follow its lead.

right Kirk, but on the other side we have maybe the worst program when it's about water usage. a friend of mine once had a house where he gathered the rain water in a tank and used that water for the flush in the toilet.....which is a great way to save fresh water and very environmental friendly, right? well, not in germany it seems, because if you do it this way you have to pay an extra tax which makes the usage of rain water twice more expensive than the usage of fresh water...

yeah, and it would be interesting to know what transmissions are done thought those antennas. ok, the rectangular ones on top are most likely cell phone ones, but the round ones are pretty odd...

There is an UNEQUAL amount of good and bad in most things, the trick is to work out the ratio and act accordingly. "The Jester"
