Cyber Storm 2010

So we had a guest speaker today come from Louisiana Tech University to speak to us about computer security (nothing really specific). It was more like a showcase of what their computer science.

Their senior capstone class is a face off between two teams (red v. blue; named Team Chuck Norris and Team Bruce Lee). Although I vastly preferred their original names (Team Autobots vs Team Decepticons).

Anyway they each had to build 4 servers on a mobile rack using ancient servers with just 3 1/2 inch floppies. They had to set up a Linux server, Windows server, BSD server and something else I don't remember. It's open to the public and spectators are welcome to wade into the fray. Just make sure you don't mind getting hacked.

I don't know. I don't know if I've got finals that week, but even then it's a 4 and a half hour drive and it starts at 8 AM.

I would really like to even if I don't actually do much more than wireless hacking.
