Try setting a static IP.

I don't see why you would need a win cert at all honestly, if it's timing out it sounds like it is something to do with the router / wifi connection. The reason I would see you needing a cert is if your planning on sharing folders across win 7 & linux.

So is it timing out overall - like you cant access the outside internet, or is it timing out while trying to connect to a network share?

If its the share, are you within the same domain/workgroup as the other computers?

What are your hardware specs for the card and router?

Have you tried ndiswrapper?

Peace -

Is it working yet?
If not, let us know if you ever had a successful install of BT4 and connected to the wireless router without any other OS's.

Also let us no if you can run a live CD of BT4 just to test, so that you can see if BT4 will connect and give you an IP address that way.

Just a thought to help narrow down the problem.

Peace,

Instead of using the network manager to connect to your network, try using the shell!
