Scapy Port to Windows

Post by maboroshi »

Well for the last few days I have been trying to get scapy to work on my windows box

For those that don't know what scapy is

Scapy is a powerful interactive packet manipulation program. It is able to forge or decode packets of a wide number of protocols, send them on the wire, capture them, match requests and replies, and much more. It can easily handle most classical tasks like scanning, tracerouting, probing, unit tests, attacks or network discovery (it can replace hping, 85% of nmap, arpspoof, arp-sk, arping, tcpdump, tethereal, p0f, etc.). It also performs very well at a lot of other specific tasks that most other tools can't handle, like sending invalid frames, injecting your own 802.11 frames, combining technics (VLAN hopping+ARP cache poisoning, VOIP decoding on WEP encrypted channel, ...), etc.
Available for dl here

http://www.secdev.org/projects/scapy/

Its Unix based and to be honest I don't think they even want a Windows Port ;)

But I have been following the examples created by Zack Payton on the scapy boards and I have a basic working example of scapy on windows

My goal is a full working version which means I get to learn a lot about network programming

If ya guys are imterested in my Project grab yourself a copy of Python24 and dl the packages and things needed for it here

I hope we can start a project together in the future, you do the coding and I do the packets...hehe...
