IRC free client

Hello every one, how are you ?
I was using mIRC client for a while, and the trial period is over... Any way would any one recommend me a good and free IRC client.

have a look at xchat:

if you like it old school style you might like irssi:
http://www.irssi.org/

but if you want to keep using mIRC feel free to PM me...

U can also (if u use firefox) make use of the firefox pllugin chatzilla, its within firefox and it works fine for me

I used HydraIRC while I was on Windows, now I'm using XChat too.

well i installed xchat and it seems to be really good

I liked HydraIRC, but I dumped it in favor of Xchat2 for windows.

It is difficult to join multiple channels. Although I have not used it that is what I hear people say.

irssi is nice, I just prefer xchat... not because it's necessarily better, just cause it's what I like.

I don't like to leave a post hanging with a 'so what' but, it is what it is
