How do you change the wording under your name? Like for B_B it says "site owner"

ummm....do you mean on THIS board or in general?
in this board: you can´t, only staff members can create custom "ranks".
in general: you go into the board administration>user admin>ranks.

Yes, in general. Can you assign ranks to people or do they just have to post X amount of msgs to get the rank?

sure, phpbb is a part of phpnuke.
you can set it up as a normal rank which is assigned at a certain ammount of posts, or you can mark it as special rank which you have to assign by hand in the user administration...

The ranks where in the phpBB admin menu not the phpnuke admin menu!
