Hey guys!
Me and a few of local friends are planning on making a (probably) browser game, nothing too complicated, just for the sake of building one.
So I was wondering if I could get a few advices/tips on that subject here?
Like, what should we use, Flash? Java? Something third? Also if you have read any good articles about browser games that you could link here I'd appreciate it.
Basically any advice will do
Simple game
Re: Simple game
Flash is pretty easy to learn and can be used for just about any gaming genre, although maybe not optimal for FPS or in some RTS cases.
Flash is good if you want a bit of a "cartoony" gamein 2D, and if you want something else in 3D then Java would be better.
If you want to make a game like, for example, Super Mario, then any of the two will work.
Although I think it would be more "classic" programming to do it in Java.
But as Gogeta said, it depends on what you want to do.

Re: Simple game
We'll probably go with flash, like the countless other games on the net. Probably won't get anything more complex than a puzzle game.
